The Symbiosis Family
SIBM is the flagship Institute of the Symbiosis society. Symbiosis Family today comprises of 33 institutes imparting training in disciplines as diverse as Management, Law, Arts, Commerce, Science, Health, among others. It has over 45,000 students who hail from all states of India and 60 different countries. In 2002, the Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India conferred on Symbiosis, the status of Deemed to be University. Further in 2006 the UGC vide its notification withdrew the word Deemed and renamed the University as Symbiosis International University (SIU).
