SIBM – Steinbeis University (Collaboration for IBM Employees)
Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM) is the official academic partner for training IBM employees enrolled in a ‘General MBA India’ program with Steinbeis University. This degree is recognized by the German government and all countries that hold education agreements with Germany. Furthermore the program is accredited by the Foundation for International Business Administration Accreditation (FIBAA).
IBM Germany is the authorized partner for defining the students’ study projects. With successful completion of the MBA-studies they receive the degree "Master of Business Administration (MBA)" from Steinbeis University, Berlin.

Government Projects
SIBM - Ratnagiri Revenue Department
Symbiosis Institute of Business Management (SIBM) team has conducted an orientation workshop for the senior team members of Ratnagiri district’s Revenue Department. This workshop was in response to a request made Mr.Vikas Chandra Rastogi, Collector Ratnagiri to study the Human Resource Management Practices in the Revenue Department.
Mr. Rastogi was keen to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the Revenue department which would increase the quality of services provided to the public resulting into a decrease in public complaints and litigations. To fulfill this agenda SIBM team studied the HR management practices of the Revenue department in Ratnagiri.
The next phase of the study is the perception survey of the employees and the general population. The objective of the survey is to identify the concerns and issues across departments and the general populace. Building on this survey there will be a set of three training programs for Tahsildars, Circle officers, Naib Tahsildars and Talathis, the SIBM team said by unveiling the game plan for giving a new HR orientation to the revenue department of the Ratnagiri district.
SIBM - Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC)
PMC is also keen to incorporate private sector working culture and SIBM has agreed to partner with PMC to provide training and consultancy to their employees. The focus points would be:
1) Helping PMC to set up an HR cell
2) Designing and delivering training workshops (soft skills)
3) Knowledge portal- The portal will be largely used to institutionalize many processes. For eg. The best practices of different departments will be uploaded and also relevant management articles will be uploaded.
