Our Vision is to nurture an alumni community where each and every member feels connected with the alma mater and with each member of the SIBM family.

Our Objectives include:

Ensuring that the alumni community is well connected
Ensuring that our alumni feel a sense of belonging to the alma mater
Establishing and sustaining a link between the alumni and the current students
Creating a culture of participation so that students outside the team can also contribute to its objectives

Team Activities

National Alumni Meet

Indeed the biggest event in the history of SIBM Pune, wherein alumni from all over India are invited to the campus in an attempt to help them reconnect to their alma mater. NAM held in 2008 witnessed 800+ alumni and left behind everlasting memories in the minds of all attendees.

Alumni Meets & Interactions

Mumbai, New Delhi & Bangalore - These events are named ‘Encore’ and are aimed at keeping in touch with the 5000+ alumni of the college and as a way of getting the large and illustrious family of SIBM together.

Silver Jubilee Celebrations

Silver Jubilee Reunion is held for the batches which have graduated from SIBM Pune 25 years ago. This event is held on the campus and is aimed at getting the Silver Jubilee batch to reconnect and network. The Silver Jubilee Reunion for the 1985 batch happened on the 6th March, 2010.

Alumni Database

The Alumni Team maintains a database with the contact details, professional details and other relevant details of the entire alumni base of SIBM Pune. The team undertakes the sole responsibility for keeping the contact details of the entire alumni base updated. This database is critical for the success of the events conducted by the Alumni team.

Job Postings

The team undertakes a placement service for the Alumni base by posting relevant information from the alumni to the alumni regarding job openings. On the website, there is a Job Openings section which can be directly accessed by the registered alumni whenever they require announcing an opening in their organization.

To extend the reach of the Alumni Team, we maintain pages on Facebook and LinkedIn, where the alumni can keep in touch with us and each other. They can learn of events on campus. Another point of contact is the Alumni Portal at http://alumni.sibm.net where the registered alumnus can keep up with news on campus, search for their batch mates and even search for lateral job placements.

International Chapters

With an international alumni base of 1000+, the Alumni Team decided to take a step forward to integrate our SIBM Pune family. Through these international meets, the institute makes an attempt to reach out to them in different corners of the world. Alumni Team acts as a facilitator for such meets, which are planned to be organized in USA (East and West Coast), UK, Singapore and UAE.

SIBM Pune Newsletter

This is an initiative which will enable the alumni to stay connected with their alma mater. This is an effort to create awareness about the efforts of the achievers in the family and to commend the same. The newsletter will be a platform for the institute to create awareness about the latest developments, academic and otherwise, among the alumni fraternity.

Yearbook

The Alumni Team compiles a yearbook with all the details of the batch that passes out, for distribution to the entire batch, every year. This is aimed at keeping the newly minted alumni of SIBM Pune in touch with each other.

Merchandise Sale

The team is also responsible for sale of merchandise to the alumni and students presently pursuing their masters. A wide range of items are available to choose from.
