Student Social Responsibility

Concern for the community is often mistaken for socialism. On the contrary, capitalism thrives only when every citizen is an asset in economic activity and has opportunities to succeed.

With this attitude, the students of SIBM have taken a unique student led initiative that aims at bringing about qualitative difference in the lives of the lesser privileged sections of the society, through self initiated actions and by creating awareness on the role of the corporate community in societal transformation.

SIBM endeavors to bring about a positive change in the underprivileged sections of the society and take a step towards developing socially responsible corporate citizens.Through out the year, SIBM organises events which take up causes ranging from child sex abuse, illiteracy , child labour to computer literacy programmes.

The Computer donation ceremony was carried out at Lavale Municipal School. Dr. Arun Mudbidri, Director, SIBM and the chief guest, was evidently delighted at the successful completion of the program. He observed that the initiative should be carried out to its logical conclusion by designing a syllabus for the students, and monitoring their progress.
