Yes, we do have reservation of seats as per SIU Policies. The reservation of seats (within intake) is as follows:
- 15% and 7.5% of seats are reserved for SC & ST candidates respectively.
- 3% seats are reserved for "Physically Handicapped Candidates - for blind, hearing impaired (Deaf/dumb) and with orthopedic disorders or mentally retarded candidates" The minimum degree of disability should be 40% in order to be eligible under this category.

Is the total SNAP score considered for cut-off or section-wise score is considered?
The total SNAP score will be considered for finalizing cut-offs for the short-listing of candidates for the Group Interaction and Personal Interaction processes.

SIBM Pune welcomes all students to SIBM Campus for the GI/PI as an opportunity to visit the campus. It is conducted only at SIBM Pune campus in Lavale, Pune.

After registering with the institute, do I have to send any document(s) to the respective institute?
Yes, the pay-in slip must be sent to the institute in case the payment is made through cash at AXIS bank or the Demand Draft as instructed.
How the payment through Demand Draft (DD) can be made?
Get a demand draft for Rs.1000/- from any Nationalized Bank in favour of “Director, Symbiosis Institute of Business Management” payable at Pune
. Write your SNAP ID and name at the backside of the DD. Take a print-out of the payment advice form while registering on the website, sign it and send it along with the DD to Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune at the following address:

Is a Graduate of a correspondence/distance education program eligible to apply for SIBM Pune MBA?
Students graduated from any of the UGC recognized University are eligible to apply for the programme.
What is the percentage required in graduation to apply for your full time MBA course?
A graduate from any statutory university with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) at graduation level can apply. Students appearing for their final year can also apply, but their admission will be subject to obtaining a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in qualifying examination.
Does SIBM Pune provide a Defence Quota?
No, SIBM Pune does not have a Defence Quota.
Is there any NRI quota in SIBM Pune?
No, there is no such quota in SIBM Pune. All NRIs are considered under International Students category.
I’m an NRI and have completed my graduation in India. Can I apply for International Students category? Do I have to appear for SNAP Test?
Yes, you can apply to SIBM Pune under International Students category and since you have done your graduation in India, you will have to appear for SNAP Test to be eligible. For information about international students, please refer to the following link:
Should I have work experience to apply for SIBM, Pune?
No, work experience is not a required criterion to be able to apply to SIBM Pune.
Does the previous work experience have any weightage in the Selection Process?
No, work experience is neither required while applying nor is it given any weightage during the final selection process.
What would be cut-off marks for SIBM Pune?
A candidate will be shortlisted only if he/she has registered and paid for SIBM Pune and has cleared overall cut-off in SNAP 2012 as decided by the institute. As the SNAP test cut-off depends entirely on the performance of all the candidates who appear for it, it is not possible to predict the cut-off marks for this year. However, the SNAP cut-offs for SIBM Pune and shortlist for GI/PI processes would be declared on Tuesday, 22nd January 2013

No. We regret to inform you that you are not eligible for this programme.
I am 40 years old and I would like to continue with my studies further. Can I apply for the Full Time MBA Programme?
Yes, you are eligible for the programme as there is no age limit to apply for SIBM Pune.
I’m unable to complete the application form of SNAP because of the following few hindrances:

Is it compulsory to stay on campus for residential MBA programme?
Yes, it is compulsory for students enrolled for the MBA Programme to stay on the campus. Hostel facility is provided to students.
Is placement provided to students?
Yes, we provide placement assistance to all students enrolled for the two-year full-time residential MBA Programme.
Is placement provided to NRI/International students?
Yes, NRI/International students are part of the placement process.

How far is the campus from the city and does the college provide any transportation services on a regular basis to visit the city?
The campus is 17 kms from the symbiosis campus on S. B. Road, 28 km from Lohagaon Airport, and 19 km from Pune Railway Station. There are multiple campus buses that ply back and forth from S. B. Does SIBM have a correspondence MBA Programme?
SIBM Pune does not have a correspondence programme, but a Distance Learning Program is conducted Symbiosis Center for Distance Learning. For more details, please visit www.scdl.net
Are any seats available for MBA Programme against capitation fees?
No capitation or donation is charged by any institute of Symbiosis.
