Overview
SIBM Endeavour is an initiative by Symbiosis Institute of Business Management to encourage Entrepreneurial spirit among the student population both in SIBM and outside of it. We truly believe that creating employment is the need of the hour in the country and that exposing students and the working professionals to start-up success stories will provide them the impetus to convert their dreams into profitable business ideas.
The idea was endeavoured upon for the first time in 2007 and was a grand success. Many eminent speakers graced the occasion with their presence.
Evolution is a natural phenomenon and SIBM Endeavour is also evolving. SIBM Endeavour 2008 is seeking to foster the entrepreneurial spirit by creating a platform for talented fund seekers to meet top venture capitalists. To this effect, contests like Business Plan Contest and Pitch Perfect Contest were launched in August and September 2008.
SIBM Endeavour Business Plan Contest received an astounding 430 plus entries from across the world. After two elimination rounds, the top ten teams, from the finest B-schools in India and Singapore, would present to the country’s most acknowledged Venture Capitalists on 14th November 2008 and compete for Rs. 1 crore worth of funding.

One of its kind contests, Pitch Perfect Contest, was open for working professionals with business ideas and for start-ups looking for assistance in form of funding. With 43 entries, the event was hugely successful. The top twelve teams, from across different locations like India, London and Singapore, would make final presentations on 15th November 2008 and compete for seed funding of Rs. 5 crores.
