Transcend 2011

Transcend, the annual management and cultural festival of SIBM Pune was held on 17^th 18^th 19^th February, 2011. The 3 day extravaganza saw a plethora of events starting in the wee hours of morning and going on till late at night. The opening night of the festival was kicked off by a very special performance by an Indo-German band - FireOnDawson which enthralled the audience.The flagship management event, LAST MAN STANDING, was sponsored by GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare Ltd. and put 16 participants from the best b-schools in the country through a series of rigourous tests over 72 hours, the event was won by one of our very own students. The nights were made warm by cultural events like Bandeish, Enraptured and Cynosure which saw huge crowds and immense talent on display. The last day saw a very unique relationship come to fruition wherein NABARD sponsored a special event, BHARAT UNLEASHED, a quiz that saw participation from around the country and tested students on their familiarity with India's development story. Over the 3 days the 2011 avataar of Transcend assumed its own identity and would forever remain etched in the memories of the participants, the organizers and the audience. We look forward to 2012 and hope to put up an even greater show.
