The program curriculum will have the hall mark of SIBM with a blend of general and sector management subjects.
Students completing the programme successfully will be offered a career opportunity with Max New York Life Insurance Co. Ltd. This is subject to qualifying an interview with the company.

The Programme:
The Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) (Life Insurance) is a one year, full-time, program in Business Management with specialization in Life Insurance. The Diploma will be awarded by Symbiosis International University.
The Programme Highlights
1.I year full-time Programme with a General Management base and Life Insurance specialization. Students get exposure to Life Insurance sector apart from basic management courses such as Marketing, Finance, HR, Strategy, Economics, Business communication etc.
2.The Diploma will be awarded by Symbiosis International University
3.Students completing the programme successfully will be offered a career opportunity with Max New York Life Insurance Co. Ltd., provided they complete the programme successfully and meet Max New York Life Insurance Company’s employment criteria and standards.
4.Assistance in locating residential accommodation will be provided
Batch Size– maximum 60 Students
Eligibility:
Graduate from any statutory university with a minimum of 50% marks. Candidates passing degree examination by part time/distance learning/correspondence/open school/externally /in one sitting are not eligible. Final year students can apply subject to their obtaining a minimum of 50% marks
Benefit for those who have applied for SIBM MBA 2008:
Group A
Applicants who have taken SNAP 2007 and obtained a minimum of 75 marks out of 180 and have also attended the GD/PI round will directly qualify for company interview.
Group B
Applicants who have taken SNAP 2007 and obtained a minimum of 75 marks out of 180, have applied for SIBM 2008 MBA Programme but not attend the GD/PI round qualify directly for an interview with a joint SIBM and Max New York Life Insurance Co Ltd interview.
Group C
Applicants who have not taken SNAP 2007 but wish to apply for the PGDBM(LI). The programme details are given below.

Entrance Test Assessment: Written Test
Applicants who have not appeared for SNAP 2007 are eligible for this test. The test will be a 120 minute, objective type test with sections on English, Math, Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning and General Business Awareness
Programme Fees:
Total Fees per Annum: Rs.1, 00,000; payable in 2 equal installments at the beginning of each semester by specified date.
University Examination Fees: approximately Rs 2,500 per semester
Refund Rules:
1.If admission is cancelled before commencement of the programme: 1,000 will be deducted and balance fee paid will be refunded.
2.If admission is cancelled on joining within 1 month of joining: fees of semester-II will be refunded if paid .No refund of semester-I fees
3.If admission is cancelled after 1 month from date of joining the programme: No refund
4.Procedure for refund of fees: To cancel admissions please inform Director, SIBM in writing attaching your original copy of the challan. Date of receipt of application and challan will be the operative date.
5.No Capitation/donation is required for admission. Applicants are cautioned against falling prey to assurances/offers of individual/outside agency

Standard of Passing: 50% of marks in each subject.
Backlog: 1 chance to clear any backlog subject/s will be available approximately 1 month from the last exam for each semester. If candidate does not clear the backlog he will be dropped from the Programme.
Placements:
Max New York Life Insurance Co. Ltd. will offer placements to the students who complete the course successfully will have to appear for a selection process. Students who match up to the selection criteria and standards of the company will be offered position of Associate Sales Managers by Max New York Life Insurance Co. Limited
There may also be opportunities for employees to pursue advanced academic programmes with SIBM through Max New York Life Insuranc Company Limited.
