SIBM Pune provides state-of-the-art infrastructure to its students. These facilities go a long way in ensuring a productive campus life and providing a perfect backdrop for academic pursuits. SIBM Pune’s all new residential campus at Lavale village has become the envy of other educational institutions. The sprawling premises also houses the SIU office and various trust offices, central library, auditorium, conference hall, canteen, health care centre, area for recreational activities, shopping area, guest house, swimming pool as well as teaching & non-teaching staff housing .
The students of SIBM Pune have access to the Central Library of Symbiosis International (Deemed University) which has a splendid reference and lending facilities for books, reports, journals, periodicals, CDs and video cassettes.
Moreover the Library has an impressive subscription to Online Databases like EBSCO, Emerald, Scopus, JSTOR, Frost and Sullivan, EMIS etc.
IT Infrastructure & Resources
The Information Systems & Media Relations Team (a part of the Students’ Council) is in charge of developing and maintaining a host of intranet websites to assist students in their academic endeavours. Right from an online marketing repository ADdIcT, hosting over 7000 advertisements tracking various brand promotions over the years, both national and international, to an internal knowledge repository WIRED, to InfoDrome, our contribution in helping SIBM Pune move to a paperless work culture, these resources help our students gain that all important edge over the competition.
The Wi-Fi enabled campus empowers students to get on-line anywhere on campus without being tied down by wired connections. As mentioned elsewhere, SIBM Pune was the first Business School in the country to adopt this technology.
The Computer lab, with broadband connectivity to the Internet and Intranet, boasts of 100 computers with exclusive lease lines.
All lecture classrooms are set against the picturesque hilltop background and equipped with the latest in audiovisual technology.
SIBM Pune assists in securing accommodation for outstation students. The facilities are available in hostels located within the campus, in close proximity to the academic block, and students are charged a nominal fee. The Foreign Students’ Cell assists foreign students in all their accommodation requirements.
The in-house facilities include a 600-seater modern auditorium and a modern conference hall.
Cafeteria And Mess
An all-day cafeteria caters to the diverse taste buds on campus.
The Symbiosis Centre for Health Care (SCHC) is an in-house Health Care Centre exclusive to the staff and students of the various Symbiosis institutes that share the Lavale hilltop campus. SCHC has a team of specialist doctors who conduct the students’ annual health checkup. Each student of SIBM Pune is insured under the Mediclaim & Road Traffic Accident Policy.
SCHC also provides an in-house state-of-the-art health club and fitness centre, with a view to facilitating holistic development of mind and body. The Centre thus provides preventive, promotive as well as curative health care services, with a view to ensuring the positive health of all members of the Symbiosis family.
A state-of-the-art gym provides students ample opportunity to tone up their bodies, between bouts of exercising their little grey cells! The gym comes equipped with a host of training equipment as well as the services of a fitness instructor.
The campus has bicycle parking racks located next to every major building so that students can traverse the picturesque campus in the most energy-efficient – and healthy – manner.
Yoga facilities are also available, providing a refreshing interlude for the students. A trained yoga teacher puts the students through their meditative paces.
A trained aerobics professional helps the students with their aerobics routine. This initiative is in keeping with SIBM Pune’s credo that a healthy environment must be provided for the students.
Regular classes in the Zumba dance style are held. Students are encouraged to explore the dance form as a way of relieving stress as well as staying fit.
