The growth of mobile phone market in India is extraordinary, and it is exceeding the purchases of tablets and personal computers. With the arrival of technology and extended usage of mobile, many youngsters use their mobiles as a tool for communication and entertainment. Today, mobile phone usage among youngsters is of great concern. This research paper about cell phone addiction attempts to find the factors affecting smartphone addiction and the associated risk factors. The principal component analysis is to determine the prime factors, which influence the usage of mobile phone, and multiple regression analysis has been used to further identify the specific factors that lead to extensive use of mobile phone, which may influence addiction.
